Saturday, Jun 6th – Home City/Honolulu

Depart your home city today for the tropical paradise of Honolulu, Hawaii, site of the 111th Annual Rotary International Convention. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Sunday, June 7th – Honolulu

This and every morning, breakfast will be served in your hotel. Prior to the opening ceremonies, discover this beautiful place through a panoramic city tour. Following the opening ceremonies today enjoy our welcome cocktail reception. (B, CKTL)

Monday, Jun 8th – Honolulu

Breakfast will be available in your hotel this morning, prior to a day filled with several Plenary Sessions during the convention hours. Tonight, you may wish to choose one of the many Host Committee Events available. (B)

Tuesday, Jun 9th – Honolulu

Breakfast will again be available in your hotel. Plenary Sessions and events of the Rotary International Convention continue. Tonight, you may wish to choose one of the optional tours available. (B)

Wednesday, Jun 10th – Honolulu

Again, breakfast is served in your hotel this morning. The Plenary sessions and events of the convention continue. Tonight, enjoy the unforgettable Closing Ceremonies. (B)

Thursday, Jun 11th – Honolulu/Hilo/Kona

After breakfast this morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to the “Big Island”. Upon arrival in Hilo, on the east coast, drive to HAWAII VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK. Here, see Kilauea Crater, rising 4,090 feet above a volcanic wonderland of steaming fire pits, lava tubes, and fern forests. Next, enjoy an included lunch followed by a stop at PUNALU’U BAKE SHOP to sample the famous Hawaiian sweetbread introduced to the area by Portuguese sugar workers in the 19th century. This traditional favorite is not to be missed! After lunch, you will travel to the west coast of the island, arriving in Kona. (B,D)

Friday, Jun 12th – Kona

After breakfast this morning, visit the KONA COFFEE LIVING HISTORY FARM, a working coffee and macadamia nut farm, where you have the opportunity to learn about the history of Kona’s coffee industry and the remarkable pioneers who established these farms. This afternoon, enjoy a glassbottom boat cruise. You will return to the hotel, prior to one of the many highlights on your trip, a traditional Hawaiian Luau. Tonight, you’ll have the chance to learn tAfter o hula, try some traditional Hawaiian specialties like poi, and see captivating performances by Polynesian musicians and dancers. (B,D)

Saturday, Jun 13th – Kona/Kauai

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your scenic flight to the “Garden Isle” of Kauai. This island, whose lush landscapes featuring orchids, hibiscus, and plumeria are often used as a setting for Hollywood films depicting tropical paradise. Upon arrival, proceed to KILOHANA PLANTATION for a special lunch. Afterward, enjoy a narrated TRAIN RIDE which takes you on a tour of the historic plantation that passes through fruit orchards, lush gardens, and tropical farmland. Next, view pretty `Opaeka`a Falls on the Wailua River before continuing to your resort. (B,L)

Sunday, Jun 14th – Kauai

Today is a complete day to spend as you please! Take in refreshing ocean breezes from the beautiful white-sand beaches, immersing yourself in the heart of the island’s beauty. No activities have been scheduled today to give you time to relax and enjoy your oceanfront resort. Optional tours include helicopter flightseeing or a zipline adventure in the mountains. (B)

Monday, Jun 15th – Kauai

This morning you will depart the hotel for Waimea, once the Polynesian capital of Kauai and the site where Captain Cook landed in the islands in 1778. Your sightseeing highlights include WAIMEA CANYON, the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” and Hanapepe Valley. En route back to your hotel see SPOUTING HORN, the famous blowhole created from a lava tube. This afternoon, enjoy a cruise on the Wailua River visiting the Fern Grotto. You will return to your resort this afternoon and the balance of the day will be at leisure. (B)

Tuesday, Jun 16th – Kauai/Maui

After breakfast this morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to “Valley Island” of Maui. Upon arrival, you will drive to the lush `IAO VALLEY to see the `Iao Needle, a spectacular volcanic spire. A visit to LAHAINA, is then followed by your drive to Ka`anapali. The balance of the day is at leisure. (B,D)

Wednesday, Jun 17th – Maui

This morning you will set out on a full day excursion to Hana, deeply steeped in Hawaiian ways, this cultural treasure in East Maui is accessible via a narrow, winding road marked by tiny bridges, wildly gorgeous foliage and waterfalls. As you travel along on this 68-mile trip, your experienced driver & friendly guide will give a captivating narration of the island’s secrets all along the way. Weaving through the lush tropical rainforest, there are more than 600 curves & one of the world’s most impressive drives, with 54 bridges and numerous waterfalls on the Road to Hana. Upon arrival in Hana you will have lunch at the top with its breathtaking views and then return to the resort late this afternoon. (B,L)

Thursday, Jun 18th – Maui

Enjoy a final free day in Maui. Perhaps take an optional excursion to Haleakala National Park, site of the huge volcanic Haleakala Crater, known as the “House of the Sun.” In 1980, this native ecosystem of cinder cones and dense rainforest was designated an International Biosphere Reserve. There’s plenty of time in the afternoon to relax and enjoy your hotel’s facilities and beach. (B)

Friday, Jun 19th – Maui/Oahu

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Oahu.
Upon arrival, you will tour PEARL HARBOR’s famous Battleship Row. Listen to a narration of the dramatic air attack of December 7, 1941, and visit the USS Arizona and the impressive MEMORIAL dedicated to the 1,102 men still entombed. You will also have an opportunity to visit the MUSEUM, an excellent way to learn about Pearl Harbor Day, the Japanese strategy and military craft, and the individuals involved in the attack. Then, on to Punchbowl National Cemetery with its beautiful views of Honolulu. Following your visit to Pearl Harbor you will tour the island visiting, Chinatown, the Hawaii State Capitol, royal ‘Iolani Palace, and the statue of Kamehameha the Great. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner. (B,D)

Saturday, Jun 20th – Honolulu/Mainland USA

Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to the Mainland United States with fond memories of your Hawaiian Rotary experience. (B)
